A heat schedule would've been sufficient for days like Wednesday and Thursday (as with those days just recently where the heat indicies were nearing and exceeding 100).

I would would probably recommend closure if it was hotter (...look south and west).

Marlene Bush is amazing. I hope she lives for another 50 years. The world needs the entertainment. Preach about not consolidating, then complain about it being too hot. Either she is severely afflicted with the terminal stage of the dumbass, or she is suffering from memory loss, and doesn't recall what she said earlier. Why else would you contradict yourself, and have the whole region laughing?

She states that the schools don't need anything...then well its too hot. Those schools, if I understand it right, can't handle more than a handful of window unit ACs without kicking breakers (already taxed with computers and such). So to put air, they have to redo electrical, and if you're going to tear into electrical, common sense (I know, I know) seems to dictate you would do your water/sewage at the same time, which puts you back to the cut down cost estimate.

Then again, Larry shows up and talks about how all the coal money should go to Appalachia, then shows up a month later talking about how all the coal mining, coal trucks, etc should be done away with practically.

I am more convinced than ever, if there was a report of a bear taking a dump in Coeburn, rest assured if the papers had someone talking about it, it would be them. They live to argue or complain.

They're starting a half hour earlier - not that it makes that much difference...

That's my understanding.
Last year my niece's bus would run early, so they'd get to the school at 8:00 am, and they'd have to wait in the hallways for the teachers to show up for work.
